Business Plan Competition

PURPOSE
This contest is designed to stimulate entrepreneurial activity and greater awareness of the resources available to grow entrepreneurs and innovators in Christian County, Kentucky.
ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to legal residents of the US who are 18 years or older. Entries should consist of a business idea that will operate in Christian County or has started operation after July 1, 2012. Submissions can range from small home based businesses to large operations including store fronts, restaurants, or technology facilities. Participants are required to attend 2 workshops related to business plan writing and pitch presentations or schedule equivalent meeting with Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Minority Economic Development Initiative (MEDI) or Regional Business Innovation Center (RBIC). Businesses or ventures operating prior to July 1, 2012 do not qualify.
AWARD
Cash prize plus and start-up services! All finalists will be announced to the area business community at the Christian County Chamber Annual Dinner in June. Complete prize package details are listed below:

INNOVATION BONUS PRIZE
A prize bonus of $1,000 will be given by the MSU Regional and Business Innovation Center should the winning concept be innovative or technology-based. Contact Loretta Daniel, Director of MSU RBIC for more details on support provided in the region to innovative and technology focused business concepts.
